Head Chef

This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help us build the perfect kitchen! We are looking for someone to fill the role as our full-time head chef at our new brewery in Beaver Dam.  Not only will the candidate have creative freedom to bring dishes to the menu, but they will also be an integral part of creating seasonal menus / specials and having input on the layout of their kitchen as we build.

Responsibilities to include -

• Supervise the kitchen and foster a positive, clean, and efficient work environment

• creating unique dishes and writing descriptions

• training staff to prepare your dishes with precision and consistency

• planning and ordering ingredients and supplies

• Take on shifts as a line cook 

• Aid in hiring and scheduling hours for kitchen staff

• Work with our taproom manager to improve our food menu

We are looking for someone who takes extreme pride in all aspects of their responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years experience as a head chef preferred 

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen required

• Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire, WRBS certificate within 45 days of hire

• Ability and stamina to spend an extended amount of time on your feet

• Passion for leadership, great food, and customer service

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Problem solving and conflict management skills

• A driven individual who thrives off of collaboration and creativity

• Looking to live in and contribute to a our small local community
